Black Masterbatch
Deep, uniform black with built-in UV protection for PE and PP.
Black Masterbatch gives plastic parts a deep, even black colour and protects them from sunlight. It carries carbon black in a polymer pellet, so the colour and UV protection are built right into the part. Used for pipes, cables, film, geomembranes and outdoor mouldings.
Carbon black is one of the most effective and economical ways to colour and protect plastic. It gives a strong, true black at low loading, and because it absorbs UV it greatly extends the outdoor life of pipe, cable and film. Conductive grades are also available for static-control and electronics work. It is supplied as ready-to-use pellets that run on standard moulding and extrusion lines.

Key benefits
Strong UV protection
Carbon black blocks the sun's UV, extending the outdoor life of agricultural pipe and geomembrane.
Deep, jet-black colour
Carefully controlled carbon black gives a deep, true black with a clean, neutral tone.
Cost-effective opacity & coverage
Strong colouring power means only a little is needed for film, pipe and moulded parts.
Conductive grades available on request
Conductive grades are available for static-control and electronics applications.

Frequently asked questions
What is Black Masterbatch used for?
It is a polymer-carrier concentrate of carbon black, used to give plastic parts a deep black colour and protection from sunlight. Typical applications include pipes, cables, film, geomembranes and outdoor mouldings.
Which polymers does it work with?
Standard grades are compatible with polyethylene and polypropylene. We match the carrier resin to your base resin so the masterbatch melts and disperses cleanly during processing.
Can I get a trial sample?
Yes. Share your base resin, end application and target shade, and we will ship a matched grade for line evaluation along with a Certificate of Analysis.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. Carbon black is one of the most effective UV screens, so black masterbatch is widely used for pipes, cables, geomembranes and other long-life outdoor parts.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard grades ship in 7 to 14 working days from order confirmation. Custom formulations matched to a specific application take 3 to 4 weeks. We confirm an exact timeline at the quote stage.
