Silver Masterbatch
True metallic finish for premium packaging and trim.
Silver Masterbatch gives plastic parts a bright metallic silver finish without painting or plating. It carries aluminium-flake or pearl pigment in a polymer pellet, so the metallic look is built right into the part. Used for caps, closures, cosmetic packaging and moulded consumer products.
Aluminium-flake grades give a mirror-bright silver on PE and PP, while a pearl grade gives a softer shimmer and works across more plastics, including PS and engineering plastics. The flakes line up with the flow as the part forms, so the finish stays even across curved and flat surfaces. It is supplied as ready-to-use pellets that run on standard moulding and extrusion lines.

Key benefits
True metallic finish
Mirror-bright aluminium or soft pearl-silver shimmer straight off the moulding and extrusion line, with no spraying, plating or secondary finishing.
Even metallic effect
The flake size and alignment are tuned so the metallic look stays even across curved and flat surfaces, without streaks.
Broad polymer compatibility
Aluminium-flake grades run on PE and PP; a pearl grade extends the range to PS and engineering plastics, on blow-moulding, injection and extrusion lines.
Low loading, clean processing
Works at low loading, with the carrier matched to your resin so the flakes line up cleanly even on thin parts.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions on dosage, colour, metallic effect and supply.
What is Silver Masterbatch used for?
It gives plastic parts a bright metallic silver finish without painting or plating. Typical uses include caps, closures, cosmetic packaging and moulded consumer parts.
Which polymers does it work with?
Standard grades are compatible with polyethylene and polypropylene. We match the carrier resin to your base resin so the masterbatch melts and disperses cleanly during processing.
Can I get a trial sample?
Yes. Share your base resin, end application and your target metallic shade and part, and we will ship a matched grade for line evaluation along with a Certificate of Analysis.
Does the finish need painting?
No. The metallic effect is built into the plastic, so parts come off the line with a silver finish and need no secondary painting or plating.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard grades ship in 7 to 14 working days from order confirmation. Custom formulations matched to a specific application take 3 to 4 weeks. We confirm an exact timeline at the quote stage.
